Curly Hair, Yoga and Tea Tree Oil - The Curly-Hair Cure!

For girls with curls, it takes more than a good haircut to get locks with luscious shine and little to no frizz that look amazing and natural.
It has taken me years of trial and error to find the right thing to make my natural curls look envious. When I was a child, I hated my hair - I wanted straight hair like everyone else. It was not easy to keep it neat I couldn't brush it, I could not make it LOOK good - but since I've learned the secrets to creating luminous looking curls, I would never change a thing!
Here's my trick:
I wash every other day - no it's not gross (of course there are exceptions - i.e. a rigorous sweating workout - of course those locks need cleansing) - Your hair and scalp produce natural oils that help to protect and fortify your hair and we need them for a healthy shine. I also do not use heavy astringent shampoos - I use shampoos that are more natural - Acure is my favorite brand. Sometimes I'll even leave the conditioner in overnight. After a shower for the day and my hair is still dripping wet, I apply a mixture of coconut oil and about 10 drops of doTerra Tea Tree Oil to my hair. I towel it, I then use very little watered-down KMS sculpting paste which I apply in a scrunching motion, I blow-dry to damp with a diffuser and scrunch - that's it, DONE! - Sometimes I do without the hair styling paste and add some coconut oil after diffusing.

Tea Tree oil has many benefits - including natural astringent without drying, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and is a purifying oil. Tea Tree oil offers a gentle cleansing and softening effect and also works well for detangling! Also use for skin care as a toner and for minor skin irritations and infections (like acne).
